Peel Project, South Kilburn, London
During my time with the Architects & Designers practice ‘Child Graddon Lewis’ (‘CGL’), I assisted with the ‘Peel Project’ through RIBA Stages 2 & 3 by modelling the external scheme in 3D using the BIM software ‘Revit’, and aiding with the design of the internal layouts.
The residential scheme is based in South Kilburn, London, and forms part of the South Kilburn regeneration programme which is constituted of a school and residential space.
Many awards have already been won by the scheme including the ‘Future Project category’ award at the Place West London Awards in May 2017, and the ‘Best Practice’ award at the New London Architecture awards in May 2019.
Its success is rather unsurprising given the ambitious objective of providing affordable homes and a place of learning in Central London through the redevelopment of an existing council-owned site, with each of the house blocks specifically orientated to draw people towards a new market square and inspire a sense of community.
More information on this project can be obtained by contacting me directly as she is able to provide and talk about drawings, space planning & strategy, etc.
Images shown are publicly available. The drawings of the projects and more internal visuals and design work are confidential.
