Do you have a secret hankering to create your own designs but don’t know where to start? I can help teach you software skills that will walk you through the whole process, harnessing your own designs and combining them with the planning and modelling you need to make them a reality.

As an architectural designer, I’m experienced in using a wide range of software such as Sketchup, Microstation, Navisworks, Autocad and Vectorworks. However, the one that stands out from the rest is Revit.

I’m going to explain a bit more about Revit and how I can help you use it to improve your design services.

What is Revit?

Revit is a piece of software that has the capacity to carry out a wide range of activities, including collaborative design. I used Revit extensively as a student and then went on to buy my own licence for my practice. I now use Revit for all of my projects, including my personal ones.

Some of the features Revit offers are:

  • Generative and conceptual design
  • Worksharing
  • Architectural modelling
  • 3D design visualisation
  • Cloud rendering
  • Physical and analytical modelling
  • Plumbing design
  • Construction modelling
  • Fabrication documentation

These are just some of the highlights of the software; the full list is extensive and covers MEP engineering/fabrication, construction, structural engineering/fabrication and architectural design. As a model-based method it offers a comprehensive solution for planning and designing right through to construction and management. It is also perfect for teams (even working remotely) to avoid costly errors or miscommunications.

How I Can Help

My extensive experience using Revit combined with my architectural design expertise means I am able to support you with any project you have in mind. Whether you’re a landlord, homeowner or have some prior experience of design, I can help you to build and model your own projects.

In my work, I create and deliver projects both large and small, but I recognise there’s an innate satisfaction in being able to do it yourself. This is why I also provide teaching services to anyone who wants to do their own planning application and pull together a feasible design.

With my support, Revit is a tool which is accessible to anyone and will allow you to create 3D plans. I can assist with both teaching you to use Revit to its full effectiveness, as well as consulting on your drawings as you need.

My many years working within architecture mean I can support you to achieve your goals for planning and remodelling your building – in a way you never dreamt was possible.
